El observatorio IBERIFIER arranca su actividad en Pamplona

El Observatorio Iberifier, una alianza de universidades, verificadores y centros de investigación promovido por la Comisión Europea para combatir la desinformación en España y Portugal, ha arrancado sus actividades en la Universidad de Navarra. En este primer encuentro los miembros del Observatorio han puesto en común sus avances y las cuatro líneas de trabajo: identificación y verificación de la desinformación, asesoramiento estratégico y alfabetización mediática.

Dotado con 1,47 millones de euros y liderado por el catedrático de Periodismo de la Universidad de Navarra Ramón Salaverría, Iberifier es uno de los ocho observatorios de medios digitales promovidos por la Comisión Europea esta pasada primavera para monitorizar y combatir la amenaza desinformativa. El grupo de trabajo lo componen más de 70 investigadores de 23 instituciones: doce universidades, cinco verificadores y agencias de noticias, y otros seis centros de investigación multidisciplinares.
