Suspensão das televisões russas cria precedente

Gustavo Cardoso critica o bloqueio das televisões russas RT e Sputnik para a Europa, anunciada a 2 de março pela União Europeia. “As decisões que estamos a tomar vão marcar o futuro. O que estamos a decidir fazer relativamente à Rússia terá de ser aplicado nas próximas guerras”, disse o coordenador do projeto Iberifier, ao jornal Público. “Qual o critério que podemos ter para cortar outras emissões, nacionais ou outras, quando considerarmos que têm desinformação? Para as democracias é uma questão mesmo complicada”, referiu o professor do ISCTE Gustavo Cardoso. Lembra ainda que as audiências destes canais são residuais em Portugal. A União Europeia baseou a decisão no facto de considerar que os conteúdos destes canais têm características da propaganda.
