Vítor Tomé participa em debate com comissária europeia Maryia Gabriel

O investigador do Observatório IBERIFIER, Vitor Tomé, participou na mesa-redonda em Namur, a sul de Bruxelas, no dia 5 de abril, que teve como tema central as “Orientações para professores e educadores sobre o combate à desinformação e a promoção da literacia digital através da educação e da formação”, que contou com a presença da comissária europeia da Inovação, Investigação, Cultura, Educação e Juventude, Maryia Gabriel, e de docentes belgas de vários níveis de ensino.
As “Orientações”, que estão disponíveis em todas as línguas da União Europeia, foram produzidas, entre outubro de 2021 e outubro de 2022, por um grupo de 24 especialistas selecionados pela Comissão Europeia, do qual fizeram parte Vitor Tomé e a investigadora do IBERIFIER Charo Sadaba, que é também a diretora da Faculdade de Ciências da Comunicação da Universidade de Navarra, em Pamplona.
O convite para a participação nesta mesa-redonda partiu da Direção de Educação e Cultura da Comissão Europeia. Vitor Tomé participou também, na manhã de dia 5, num “webinar” interno sobre desinformação. No evento, ao qual assistiram cerca de 150 funcionários das entidades europeias, o investigador conversou cerca de uma hora com o diretor de Unidade da DGEAC, Giorgi Dimitrov.
