Digital News Report: Confiança elevada nas notícias convive com preocupação face aos conteúdos falsos

Portugal continua a destacar-se na questão da confiança estruturalmente elevada face às notícias (57,8%), não só em relação a outros países do Sul da Europa como Grécia (19%), Espanha (33%) ou Itália (34%), mas também de países da Europa central como França (30%) ou Alemanha (43%), revela o “Digital News Report 2023”, publicado pela Obercom, parceiro no projeto IBERIFIER.

Apesar dos índices estruturalmente elevados de confiança em notícias, são os portugueses mais velhos que tendem a confiar mais em notícias. Na perceção sobre o que é real e falso online, um indicador que nos permite indiretamente avaliar a percepção dos portugueses sobre a desinformação e os fenómenos desinformativos, em 2023 cerca de 7 em cada 10 portugueses dizem estar preocupados com o que é real e falso na Internet, uma proporção semelhante à identificada em 2022.

De salientar, que os portugueses que confiam em notícias estão mais preocupados com o que é real e falso na Internet do que os que não confiam em notícias. No que se refere a meios de contacto, a televisão continua a ser principal fonte de notícias, embora esteja em queda em Portugal. A televisão continua a ser usada para acesso a notícias por 67,6% dos portugueses e por 51,0% como principal fonte de notícias, ou seja, face a 2022, registam-se em 2023 quebras de utilização da TV na ordem dos 6,4 pp. enquanto forma de acesso e de 2,6 pp. como principal forma de acesso.
