Literacia: Polígrafo lança projeto que desafia jovens a fazer verificação de factos

A plataforma Polígrafo convida jovens entre os 15 e os 22 anos a fazer verificação de peças que estejam a ser difundidas pelas redes sociais mais frequentadas. “Geração V”, o título da iniciativa, pretende captar curiosos pelo “fact checking” em todo o território nacional e transformá-los em autores de desmentidos. Os participantes serão selecionados com o apoio de várias investigações de ensino superior, escolas e associações. As peças serão publicadas numa seção autónoma do site. A experiência com as primeiras publicações arranca na próxima semana, 9 de janeiro.

O objetivo é duplo. Por um lado, atrair os jovens para o universo da verificação de factos; por outro lado, promover a literacia para os média, explica Fernando Esteves, diretor do Polígrafo. Os temas prioritários são: educação, ambiente, saúde mental e as questões relacionadas com a identidade de género. Os participantes recebem informação para o efeito e serão coordenados por uma jornalista sénior.

“O Geração V” está a ser desenvolvido em parceria com a Fundação Porticus, que, em Espanha, também apoia um projeto da “Maldita.es”. A Worten também se associou à ideia, através da oferta de vales de compras aos participantes.

O Polígrafo e a Maldita são duas plataformas de verificação parceiras do IBERIFIER.
