Unravelling the hoaxes: Ramón Salaverría’s Lecture at Fundación Hermes

Last Thursday, February 27, 2025, Ramón Salaverría, coordinator of IBERIFIER, participated in the plenary session of Fundación Hermes in Madrid, where he delivered a lecture titled “What Lies Behind Fake News: Structure and Actors of Disinformation.”

During his presentation, Salaverría analyzed the complex structure of disinformation and highlighted the role of different actors involved in spreading fake news. His talk explored the strategies used to disseminate false information and emphasized the importance of media literacy as a key tool in combating disinformation in today’s society.

Desentrañando los bulos: la conferencia de Ramón Salaverría en la Fundación Hermes

El pasado jueves 27 de febrero de 2025, Ramón Salaverría, coordinador de IBERIFIER, participó en la sesión plenaria de la Fundación Hermes en Madrid, donde impartió la conferencia titulada “Qué hay detrás de los bulos: estructura y actores de la desinformación”.

Durante su intervención, Salaverría analizó la compleja estructura de la desinformación y destacó el papel de los diferentes actores involucrados en la propagación de noticias falsas. Su presentación abordó las estrategias utilizadas para difundir bulos y enfatizó la importancia de la alfabetización mediática como herramienta fundamental para combatir la desinformación en la sociedad actual.
