The European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) will organise a series of workshops entitled “People, Not Narratives: EDMO Training Series on Identity-Based Disinformation”. José Moreno, researcher at ISCTE – IUL and member of the IBERIFIER team, will take part in the first training module as a speaker and trainer. The session is scheduled for 13 May, starting at 14:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST).
The initiative aims to explore the challenges posed by identity-based disinformation, examining how this phenomenon can fuel discriminatory narratives and even encourage acts of violence in the real world.
The seminar series brings together international experts and professionals working in research, communication, and media literacy. Its main objective is to foster critical reflection on the social and political impacts of disinformation.
