Literacia em todas as escolas e campanhas públicas de sensibilização sobre o que é o jornalismo

Miguel Crespo foi um dos convidados do painel “Como se financia o jornalismo em Portugal e na Europa? Quais as soluções”, que integrou o programa do “MediaCon – Informação sem muros”, uma iniciativa que junta 16 redações que publicam jornalismo de acesso livre e que pretende inovar na abordagem dos grandes temas que afetam a informação da atualidade e sobretudo apontar soluções. As questões da literacia e da sustentabilidade mereceram tempo próprio no Goethe Institut, onde decorreu este encontro, nos dias 28 e 29 de junho.

Miguel Crespo, diretor do Centro Protocolar de Formação Profissional para Jornalistas, Cenjor, e membro do IBERIFIER, defendeu a necessidade de se realizar campanhas públicas de sensibilização sobre a importância do jornalismo, de alargar do Plano Nacional de Literacia a todos os agrupamentos escolares do continente, de oferecer cheque-jornalismo a jovens do 10-º ao 12.º anos e inscritos em licenciaturas.

O investigador do CIES – ISCTE sublinhou ainda que é preciso ser “transparente e não distinguir os tipos de média” no fornecimento dos apoios. Segundo a sua cartilha, esta ação implicaria sustentar o jornalismo de forma continuada e promover concursos para financiar projetos apresentados por jornalistas em nome individual.
