IBERIFIER participates in ANIS meeting calling for a National Strategy against health disinformation

The Spanish Association of Health Communicators (ANIS) recently led a strategic session aimed at addressing one of the most pressing challenges for public health: the proliferation of hoaxes and disinformation narratives. During the meeting, communication and healthcare professionals formally called for the creation of a National Strategy against health disinformation.

The event highlighted the need for a coordinated and multidisciplinary response to protect the integrity of health information. In this context, Ramón Salaverría, Professor at the University of Navarra and coordinator of IBERIFIER, actively participated in the forum, providing the academic and research perspective of the European project in the fight against information manipulation.

IBERIFIER’s presence at this meeting reinforces our consortium’s commitment to knowledge transfer towards critical sectors. Collaboration between fact-checkers, researchers, and health professionals is a fundamental pillar for strengthening citizen resilience and guaranteeing the right to accurate and verified information.

IBERIFIER participa en el encuentro de ANIS por una Estrategia Nacional contra la desinformación en salud

La Asociación Nacional de Informadores de Salud (ANIS) ha liderado recientemente una jornada estratégica con el objetivo de abordar uno de los desafíos más urgentes para la salud pública: la proliferación de bulos y narrativas desinformativas. Durante el encuentro, los profesionales de la comunicación y la sanidad reclamaron formalmente la creación de una Estrategia Nacional frente a la desinformación en salud.

El evento subrayó la necesidad de una respuesta coordinada y multidisciplinar para proteger la integridad de la información sanitaria. En este contexto, Ramón Salaverría, catedrático de la Universidad de Navarra y coordinador de IBERIFIER, participó activamente en el foro, aportando la visión académica e investigadora del proyecto europeo en la lucha contra la manipulación informativa.

La presencia de IBERIFIER en este encuentro refuerza el compromiso de nuestro consorcio con la transferencia de conocimiento hacia sectores críticos. La colaboración entre verificadores, investigadores y profesionales de la salud se presenta como un pilar fundamental para fortalecer la resiliencia de la ciudadanía y garantizar el derecho a una información veraz y contrastada.
