Guerra das palavras ganha pela Ucrânia

“Putin não está a querer o nosso coração, mas a manter o coração dos russos”, disse Gustavo Cardoso durante o programa “3 às 17 horas”, da RTP, exibido a 3 de março. O coordenador do projeto Iberifier, professor do ISCTE, explica que a forma como a comunicação política está a ser desenvolvida pelos líderes russo e ucraniano revela a estratégia em curso.

Volodymyr Zelensky, presidente da Ucrânia, é alguém que conhece bem a dinâmica da comunicação, afinal, foi um ator profissional reconhecido, e dirige a sua mensagem a uma audiência global. Vladimir Putin, um político de gabinete, procura justificar a guerra aos compatriotas. “A guerra das palavras está a ser ganha pela Ucrânia”, disse Gustavo Cardoso.

O eco da comunicação de Zelensky parece maior porque temos tendência a partilhar aquilo com que concordamos, sublinhou o investigador. De qualquer modo, neste início da guerra, “não podemos acreditar nem em Zelensky nem em Putin”. As baixas de militares, por exemplo, têm merecido melhor cobertura da imprensa ainda livre dentro da Rússia”.
