Lugar ao jornalismo ativista e engajado

Os novos projetos de comunicação que têm surgido em Portugal apresentam um denominador comum: revelam outras formas de fazer jornalismo, disse Miguel Crespo, na conferência Internacional sobre inovação, “Broadcast Education Association 2022”, que se realizou a partir de Las Vegas, Estados Unidos, e via digital, a 19 abril.

O coordenador do projeto Iberifier e professor do ISCTE debruçou-se sobre oito novos projetos portugueses e concluiu que estes se caracterizavam por trabalharem temas locais, fazerem ativismo, jornalismo engajado, próximo dos públicos, e que esse jornalismo privilegia a criatividade.  Sublinhou que se está a assistir a uma diversificação de modelos, e que, o êxito estará na distinção. “O importante é fazer diferente do ‘mainstream’, ser específico e bom no que se está a fazer”.

Participaram no painel de Miguel  Crespo, Sara Kelly, professora do departamento dos Estudos Profissionais da Universidade Nacional, que se tem especializado em temas como as transformações da profissão; e Susie Khamis, professora associada da Escola de Comunicação/Faculdade de Artes e Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Tecnologia de Sidney, com pesquisas na área dos “Influencers” e construção de grupos de fãs.
