IBERIFIER no Parlamento português: Reflexão sobre desinformação e inteligência artificial

Um olhar sobre “eleições em contexto de desinformação e de algoritmos criados por máquinas” foi o tema da intervenção do investigador Vitor Tomé, que decorreu a 14 de fevereiro, na sala do Senado da Assembleia da República, em Lisboa, durante a reunião da Rede de Órgãos Jurisdicionais e de Administração Eleitoral dos países que integram a Comunidade de Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP).
A reunião teve como assunto chapéu “O esclarecimento eleitoral e as novas técnicas e tecnologias – reflexão sobre ‘fake news’ e IA nas eleições”. Vitor Tomé participou, a convite da Comissão Nacional de Eleições, no painel denominado “Comunicação social, notícias falsas e ferramentas de Inteligência Artificial nos processos eleitorais e a liberdade de ação e igualdade de oportunidades das candidaturas”.
O painel foi moderado por Carlos Simão Matsinhe, presidente da Comissão Nacional de Eleições de Moçambique, tendo sido também oradores Luís Filipe Simões, presidente do Sindicato dos Jornalistas e Ingrid Bicu, do International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.
