Debate no Público: Percepção comum de que são os políticos a gerar desinformação

A desinformação não tem características exclusivamente ibéricas e a percepção mais comum é que são os políticos os geradores da desinformação, disse Ramón Salaverría, coordenador do Iberifier, na conferência promovida pelo jornal Público, “A desinformação ganha eleições”, que decorreu dia 20 de junho, em Lisboa. Ramón Salaverría abordou ainda o tema da literacia mediática e considerou que Portugal está à frente de Espanha no desenvolvimento destas iniciativas. Luísa Meireles, diretora da Agência Lusa, outras das participantes no painel “Para que serve o ‘fact checking’?, referiu que a desinformação vive da repetição da mentira e que é preciso também repetir e contrariar com os factos. Pedro Rainho, editor da departamento de “fact Checking” do Observador, alertou para os problemas provocados pela rapidez que se exige à produção de informação. Gustavo Sampaio, jornalista do Polígrafo, sublinhou que se uma pessoa vai votar de forma desinformada poderá votar de forma errada.
