Practical guide: Disinformation and climate change

Maldita.es, a fact-checker within the IBERIFIER consortium, is making resources available to help identify misinformation about climate change. Researchers and fact-checkers have produced a dossier that not only sets out the main concepts related to the issue, addressing common doubts, but also introduces tools designed to help identify misleading narratives.

A series of questions is used to provide context for the problem. For example: Do you know what a misleading narrative is? The explanation clarifies that these are narratives deliberately created using false data and following a specific script. To recognise such narratives, it is essential to understand the context, research the knowledge related to them, and practise critical thinking.
