Desinformação: Conteúdos sobre imigração nas redes sociais aumentaram 200% entre períodos eleitorais

As peças sobre imigrantes que continham desinformação cresceram cerca de 200%, de 2024 para 2025, de acordo com a análise realizada pela equipa MediaLab, do Iscte -Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Um dos autores do estudo Legislativas 2025 – Informação e Desinformação nas Redes Sociais, José Moreno, explicou, em declarações à RTP1, que a conclusão resulta da comparação entre os dados recolhidos durante as Eleições Legislativas de 2024 e as Eleições Legislativas de 2025.

Este resultado torna Portugal um dos países que contribuiu para que a imigração fosse o principal tema da desinformação na Europa, tal como documentado por um estudo divulgado pelo EDMO, Observatório Europeu dos Meios Digitais.

Comentando estes resultados, José Moreno afirmou que, no concreto, os líderes de partidos da extrema-direita têm amplificado conteúdos desinformativos que lhes são favoráveis ideologicamente, num padrão que parece ser utilizado em vários países europeus.

Entre os temas mais visados pela desinformação estão ainda a corrupção, as alterações climáticas e a comunidade LGBT.
