Los investigadores de IBERIFIER Ramón Salaverría y Bienvenido León han publicado un artículo en el que se analiza la evolución de la desinformación en el marco de las organizaciones mediáticas, así como en redes sociales y grandes plataformas de Internet. A través de un repaso cronológico de los fenómenos de desinformación en los últimos siglos, se examina la transformación más reciente experimentada por los contenidos intencionadamente falsos en el ecosistema de Internet y el Big Data. Este capítulo forma parte del libro Total Journalism. Models, Techniques and Challenges.
